| Online Seminars has an article called Vegetation May Cut Crime. It will be available for discussion at the website for January and February. on-line-seminars.com - Vegetation Cuts Crime I know the research is there, but I have a hard time believing that planting a few trees in an inner city housing complex will alter the behavior of the residents. Do you agree?

| I think it does work and requires more than just trees. Needs a whole garden area complete with lawn, seats etc ... over here even BBQ areas and pools. I think it's the "somewhere to go outside" whilst still at home that builds the community. Another trend popping up is community gardens, where vegetables and fruit is grown. These can be for a whole street not just one complex. I think getting people out of their pidgeon holes and circulating is what it's about. Even having gazebo's, BBQ's and shade sails works if the waiting 30 years for a tree to grow isn't going to happen. Good move I think if it's done right, just planting the odd tree here and there I dont think will do a lot.
