Wouldn't call it a pro saw but at $200 id think about one as a trash saw for palms. I dont do to many palms so having a cheap saw to trash would be good but wouldn't use that saw for anything else. The TAFE I was at had one similar was no end of trouble and the break became defective after it was taken out of the box. Quality is important in this job. |

Bloody hell that is bad, real bad. Doesn't anyone read specs? Only a 3 month warranty. Have a look at this. In the description they write:- Quote:
![]() ![]() Imagine that it weights 9.1Kg DRY weight no bar/chain! It's 78.5 cc but only has 2.94Kw and some super low RPM of 6500rpm Now put you in the picture with Stihl and Husky in that engine size. Stihl MS460, 6.5kg dry weight, 76.5CC and 4.4kw power Husky 576, 6.6kg dry weight, 73.5CC and 4.2kw power I doubt that this saw would pull a full compliment 24" chain through a hardwood log. And the weight, bloody ms880's or Husky 120's weight that much. Just some cheap Chinese no name crap.

| No it's not, so perhaps you can research why it's not the same rather than wank on.

I always tell 'em its for home use. They have no way to tell if it is a home use or pro use saw. Also I use a Capital One CC so I get double the warantee time on my purchses. As of yet, I have never had to take a Stihl in for any warantee work. Ever. As for that POS listed, it has less power than a 361, and weighs almost twice as much! Chicom crap! One good thing about the new US EPA laws is that that crap cannot be sold here any more. |

The 2 husky NE 346xp I bought this year, I told the owner dont even worry about the warranty down the road. That they wont even see gas before they come apart for the port work, one will never see gas at all. |

Its amusing to gussy up a saw all around the Oregon chain. No drippy bar. Bar last long time. No smog, no chainbrake - illegal to sell here in the states. Free box of Top Ramen with every saw! My ex would want the purple side cover though. |

For a while they where putting Stihl bar and chains on those cheap saws on e-bay in Australia and selling them around the bar and chain.Thankfully its been stopped. Check out the color schemes allot of those cheap saws are using now. That red and white looks familiar!!! Of course all those cheap saws on e-bay are Pro Saws |

Those cheap orange an white one s called Brumar Ag from ebay . Have earned me enough money to pay for its self and 2 new stihls. Are they on par with a stihl no bloody way do they do the job yes just slower and dont last as long. I ll always have one with me especially on an hour rate job for a painfull customer, But I ll also use one to teach my boy and nephew s with as well right size right weight but only half the power. As to that pictured chain saw thats someone comming seeing that the other guys are doing ok selling chain saws and jumping on the band wagon with out having a bloody clue, as usuall here for a dollar not for the long haul

I just cannot see using one of them for any reason. Half the power and twice the weight, I would rather have a used Stihl for the same money. A really good condition used 310 here is about that price, and can be easilly modified. Far less weight, and it will last 10 years and run a 25 inch bar. Safety and reliability are far more cost effective in my book. I can also get a good running Oly like my 254 for about $150 around here. It would cut circles around that Chicom crap. I just do not get it... $300 Aussy clams for that shit??? That is $270 USD at today's exchange rate. Why? Why? Why? |

Notice the roller nose tip attached to the sprocket nose tip and there's no rivits holding them together, that doesn't make sense. Also what the bar name looks like it should be Oregon but the muffs are hiding it. The same name logo is on the air filter cover and it doesn't say Oregon. I think someone is having fun with a computer. Hell the chain is even on backwards ![]() ![]() Willard.

I just did a little research. This is a real image or saw ![]() It's a Ouligen notice the resemblence to "Oregon". Manufactured by a Chinese company Yong Kang Ouligan Tools Manuf. Ltd. Man they had to combine a 40 yr old roller nose and a modern sprocket nose together for lack of western world parts. I can see the 3 rivets holding them together on an other site. This is bizare. Willard. |

I wonder if they are Oregon? You're better off looking for the 2 7/8" roller, collectors would probably steer you in the right direction. I got about 4 left, 2 brand new still in the package [ last few Madsens had in stock in 1984] but I can't let them go, near impossible to find these days. Willard.

They have been around forever it seems Willard, made in USA, CT. Here was some of the old roller nose I let go, Torrington and Oregon. The new ones say 063 standard and special ordered 050 and 058. |

![]() If those Oregons to the left are the "big" 2 7/8", then the Torrington is well over 3". Thats good to know their available in .050.058 .063 . Years ago I had General build me a deep belly bar .050 for my bike saw and the bars only a 1/8" thick. To match the 2 7/8" .063 roller nose up, I went to all the trouble of taking the roller apart , milling down the races and installing .050 laminated bar bearings. What a PITA, but it was worth the trouble , that .050 Windsor or Oregon chain ran true. Willard..
