Im thinking of trading in my ms 280 for a more powerfull saw, probley a ms 361. I cut alot of tan oak and the ms 280 in its current stock form takes a good long while even with a sharp chain , 325. Before I trade it in I am wondering what the muffler mod for the ms 280 intells and how much the stock exhaust is restricted? Is it worth modding or should I just go and get a bigger saw?

Bigger saw, then mod that! ![]() 361 is a good all round lighter saw ... dont hear any bad things about them. I stay away from 0.325 pitch stuff, to me it smells "lack of grunt".
