I have a Jonsered 920 and the posts have become loose so I can not keep the bar/chain and cover tight. What is the best method to reset these posts? Thanks!

If the bar studs are loose, you'll most likely have to replace that whole side of the casing, unless they just popped out,in which case its a simple matter of just driving them back in.

| the best way to reset the studs is with a stud socket, craftsman {sears} sells them for a good price and come in a pack of 3, be sure to get the right size. you can also do the double nut thing also. do not use pliers, vice grips, or any other stupid method or you will cause more problems!

Thanks!! I was not sure about using lock tight but will now. The vibrations of the saw were enough to let everything shake loose. I will take them out and inspect them.... Thanks again |
