wouldnt you know it, after posting the other day that my favorite saw was my partner, i took her out for a spin and bloody aluminum on the top handle has almost cracked right through... if anyone has a spare, or knows where i could find one, id be willing to fix them up for it! here is a pic posted by Cut4fun: ![]() the second from the right with the grey handle is mine, but all the top handles seem to be the same shape to me... any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks |

The 500 handle is different then the handle for the 5000 plus with support. The Jonsered 490 590 and older Partner 5000 without support are same handle and direct bolt on for the Partner 500. Pioneer Partner handles were grey ones. All the rest I mentioned are black. Grey is harder to find, if you find a black one snag it. They can be welded too, I have a 5000 one that was welded like new and is still in service today. There is a 590 handle on FEEbay cheap. |

Have you found your top handle, for your chan saw yet? If not, I might be able to find you one, possibly even a new one. Let me know. Bruce.

I know a fellow racer that has one several states south of me. He has it for sale on FEEbay right now, so you might see if he will ship to Oz. Not grey though like on the pioneer/partner ones, black like on the partner jonsered ones. |

Nope neither of the handles are the right one. I'm talking to the guy with the jred handle. See what happens and i will let you know. You want a 490 590 500 949 or old 5000. The 325 and 5000 plus can be made to work at the lower AV mount with a extra metal piece on back side or add the 5000 plus support piece. |

I have a Jonsered dealer not to far from me. I'll be going there this week, to take them some parts that I ordered for them. Let me know if you want me to inquire about a top handle for you. Bruce.

Cut4Fun will be able to help you out better on this one. I don't know too much about Partner. Sorry. I'll see what I can do about the handle though, for you. Bruce.

One of my 5000's has a welded handle where it broke into. Guy in Ohio did a excellent job welding and finishing it. You cant even tell it was broken. I will see if I can find a old pic of it. I know nothing of that partner saw sorry. |

Guys that know about shipping prices. Would it be better for soho to pay shipping from Sweden or Mid-west US? I have handles located in 2 places.

The one in the mid-west is gone already, cash talked and I couldnt give him your answer the next day. The guy in Sweden said he would see if he had any extras and that is the last I heard from him. If your serious pm me so I can let you know what the one was priced for handle only. I have no clue on shipping from here to you .Now if you had enough ![]() http://www.treeworld.info/attachment...sep500-020.jpg http://www.treeworld.info/attachment...sep500-021.jpg |

| I would guess that shipping from the US is a lot cheaper than from Sweden, based on what I have read through the years.
