I have several project saws 362xp and 365 special going at once and have ran out of parts on the last 2 builds. If anyone has some of the following husky parts saws 362 365 371 372 let me know. Even just parts is good at this point. I just put the new crankshaft in and p+c on today and bought a new oem tank without any AV or caps etc. Still missing a lot of stuff for the builds to button it up. Just PM me what you have to part with, Thanks. |

As you can see lots of parts needed. New crank is in and p+c buttoned up.

362xp is up and running, had to steal from the 365 SP to start breaking the 362 in though. Soon as I get all of the parts I'm going to do my comparison. I still think the 365 SP closed port is going to be hard to beat for a 59cc-65cc saw. 365 SP 65cc flat ate my like new 262xp 62cc, 3750 60cc open port and a borrowed ms361 59cc. What was funny was the poulan bad boy 60cc was even with the very expensive ms361 and right on the heals of the 262xp. Just a little less torque in the cut then the 262. All used same chain stihl RS 3/8. |

I know one thing from this project. It's a lot more expensive to build a saw from scratch. Started off with bare crankcase halves, new oem crank, new oem tank and slowly been getting parts piece by piece. Installed some more today and ordered some more parts to finish off the project so I can put the other parts back on the 365 SP I built out of the box too. One thing I learned on this project is DO NOT get in a hurry installing the frozen crank into the warm crankcase. |

What a bone head move on my part. I knew my 362 was small mount husky and I got the right inner bar plate. But I forgot about the clutch cover. All I have is large mount clutch covers. No inner deflector either yet. Looking for small mount 362 clutch cover with bar tensioner in cover. Maybe a 2163 will work too. Video in 10" x 9.5" poplar round with stock stihl RS out of box for awhile now that I have been using on the other saws for testing. You eat alot of chips and bar oil this way NO clutch cover LOL. ![]() wow no sound either ![]() |

OK the small mount with tensioner in cover may be non-existent. So need a SMALL MOUNT HUSKY clutch cover for a 362 and the tensioner I can put in the crank case. |
