I have an old 024 and looks like I'm having chain oiler issues and was needing a service manual. I happened to stumble on a site that has free PDF viewable service manuals for Stil products. It saved me from buying one and I can order parts there also. You can check it out here K&T Parts House Lawn Mower Parts and Chain Saw & Trimmer Parts Thanks |

The only sad part is, now you posted it and if stihl gets wind of it they will shut the site down and ruin a good thing for you. |

You hear the Germans just paid off their WW1 debt! Germany finally pays off WWI debt Not that it has much to do with chainsaw manuals but interesting to note anyway.

I said, I had some bar oiling issues with my 024. This site has really helped me with that. Did I mention it is a 1983 model 024? The only thing I have done to it is installed spark plugs and 5-6 chain and bar sets. Thanks Stihl and Thanks tree world.

I came up with a tempary fix. I bought a new ms290. May not be the best or baddest but for home use, it should last me a while, along with the good tech help I have found here. After I finish cutting up the two trees down in the yard, I'll start on the 024, by getting to the wrom gear first. Looks like a good winter project. Thanx!

Ok, I went to the link for the manuals, nice posting of good stuff. If you click on the top "return" to parent directory, there are other helpful manuals posted at that site as well. I couldn't get any info to appear on the pages for the 025. I was able to download the pdf and open it, the directory is there, thumbnailed on the left, but the full pages are all blank. Any ideas on this? If not, anyone got a Shop Manual and IPL for the old Stihl 025? And while I'm at it, how 'bout the Husky 350? Anything for these two saws my Dad just picked up would help. Thanks, Mike Last edited by dcarter; 14th October 2010 at 09:23 AM. |
