Does anyone know of another light weight trigger(one handed) saw other than the Stihl MS 192 T C-E? We had one drop about 40ft due to a weak lanyard hookup and Stihl or the dealer will not stand behind it! Any help would be good. Hauling my Husqavarna 42 up into 5060 trees gets old fast. |

I think you mean a top handled saw not one handed echo make a decent version, shindawa, husky which is a shindawa, stay away from the tanaka its a weak waste of parts.

I'm suprised noone has mentioned the 192's bigger brother the ms200T yet. As I mentioned on the other thread where you asked about the carry ring on the back of your 192T. The ms200T is by far the better saw, outperforms the 192 by a good margin, from all the reports you'd find comparing the two. |

MS200T is the way to go, a lot of the people I know run with the 192 as the pruning saw and the 200 for removals. The 200 has that extra little bit of power which makes a hell of a difference. Right now we are packing the 192, goes alright but needs the extra power, hopefully we are gonna get the 200 in the next few weeks.

I like my boss's 200t for working out of the bucket,or trimming palms, the only other time i use it is in our slash pines where i cut the top out where its like 2-3" in diameter, other than that its the 51 or the 441.

Assuming that that saw is the same as a 019t, I have several parts saws and am right next door in Maine. Can eaither hook you up with parts or would be interested in getting the saw from you if you dont want to fix it. Love to help either way,Ed

Nope, the saws are totally different.... Mod the muffler on that 192...and it will perk right up!

Thanks for the advice & replies. I looked at Echo on-line and will check them out locally. I will try to look at the Shindawa. Thanks |

The Echos sound so-so. The Dolmar 3410TH has a few users who have reported that they like it. It's nice and light, and peppy. The Shinny is an old design and way too heavy. Solo makes a saw that might be OK. But the best are the Husky 338/Jonsy 2139--same saw, different colors. The 2139, for some reason, can be had much cheaper. Some muffler modding will make it outcut all the others. I can hook you up with a great dealer in NY State, if you'd like. Check my youtube page for a video of the 2139, before and after mods...and 192T and 200T as well.

ya the 200t is by far better than the 192t. have both. yes the 200t has a little more weight than the 192t but pound for pound it makes up in power. there also really tough. dropped mine from 45ft, missed my gear ring on my saddle droppin a top out and down it went. all that happened to it was the spring for the trigger lock popped off but that was an easy fix.
