| ![]() ![]() Well my dealer droped a bomb shell on me yesterday. He said he is getting to the famous 440 back in the inventory. I am just waiting to see if they are price wise better then the gutless 441. |

I'm a diehard for that saw, refuse to buy a 441. I'll buy one right now if he has them. Fancy that the 441 went 0.5kg heavier for same power and runs like a power banded two-stroke bike, not as suitable for palm slaying.

It is base on epa requirements. The more epa credits that Stihl made by producing so many smaller strato charged engine allowed Stihl to bring back the Ms 440. The 440,460,650.660 are the best saws Stihl has made in years ![]() |

At the time I replaced my well worne 044 and the 460 made more sence to buy the extra cc's for running a 3' bar all day, the 441 is joke on to run any bar over 28" as the av is to soft.. I may see if I can buy a 440 to add to the 32" bar area in my fleet.

love my 440, got to say - have a Husky 357 also ... and other than big wood - the Husky is my preferred machine (over the 440). Husky got the 357 just right, ergonomic and lovely zippy power. Anyone else have both - or am I the only lucky one here? |
