Hi Dan. I have a Stihl 034 AVEQ, with a 16" bar, and I really like it. I don't know to much about the other saws in your list. One nice thing about the 034, they are simple to work on, easy access to work on anything of the chain saw. Usually, one torxes wrench does all the work. One thing to remember about the 034, there are three different sized pistons, cylinders and three different sized carburetor repair kits for this chain saw. There is a good variety of new parts as well, for the 034. I don't know about the 032 for parts availability. I worked on a Stihl 041, and parts for it where getting a little tricky to find. I was able to find a parts saw, to help the guy out with. Hope this helps a bit. Bruce.

I'd take the 034 too.

34 is the go, if you can find one tho grab a 36. Noticable power difference for the samish price. 18" bar is good for most people.

Dan, what sort of $ are you looking at spending, or are the sellers asking on these saws ? <edit> BTW, I just looked up what a Shinny 451 was and a 20" bar on one is crazy, it's only a 46cc saw... |
