Default Pro Mac 700

Anyone familiar with Macs? My brother gave me a couple of them. A Pro Mac 700 and 555. Couldn't get the 555 running but the 700 took right off. It is like new as he never used it much. Runs good and cuts like mad. Only problem is the auto oiler. It don't work at all. The manual works great. I took the cover off the front of the oil tank and everything inside looked like new. No dirt or junk. I see what I think is the pump inside there. There is a small bolt coming out of the middle of the pump. Is that an adjustment for the amount of oil? I'm hoping that it just need adjusted. To increase the oil would I run the bolt in our out? (if that is the adjustment like I think) I'm hoping it don't need a new pump since I'm sure there aren't any around. Thanks for the help.

i have a like-new 700. i haven't run it but a few times since i got it and i plan to sell it soon. i don't know about the oiler, but parts are plentiful for these saws. if you need replacement parts, google is a good place to start. also most parts are easily found on ebay.

Some of the McCulloch chain saws only had a manual oilier to them. I had one like that, and I switched it over to an automatic, and a manual oilier.
Another thing, you may have to pull the front cover off of the oil tank, and open up the oilier, as the set screw for the oil pump may be turned in too far, not allowing the oil pump to pump the oil. Bruce.
