No manual just this, Model Profile: 1800 I also know that the parts off of the poulan 2000 and the poulan pro 225 and 235 will interchange with it as well as certain skil and western auto saws.

Well mine isnt black and green like that one, it's just lime green all around. But that's it. Good ol' bannana nosed bar. (Ugh...) So I got it all put back together, new fuel line in, new fuel filter, new spark plug, etc etc... Realized that somewhere in the move I lost the screws that hold the wrap-around bar to the underside of the saw. That's no big deal though cuz I can find those anywhere.... Got it all fueled up! Went to start it!!! Snapped the pull cord. ![]() So I pulled it back apart, to replace the cord, since I have extra... and found out that the black plastic piece that fits into the thing is swaged on... So I'll have to go BACK to the shop and see if they've got something that'll work. Grrrr...... |

| ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I am SOOOOO Pissed off!~! Everytime I get the spring wound up on this pull-start assembly, I get the little tab in the cutout on the inside of the casing, and as I'm easing the rest of the flywheel in, the thing goes PING! and unwinds in a snarl in my face. It's happened 6 times now... the muscles in my hands are killing me, I'm covered in grease and gunk, my hands are bleeding. WHATS THE SECRET HERE??? |

If its unwinding after the rope is in it and your going to start it,the tab is worn out.If your just putting it back togther, its easier to put the spring in the casing first, then put the rope spool in,wind it up,hold it while feeding the rope through, then after hooking the rope to the spool, release and it should be fine.Btw wind it clockwise.

So you put a new spring in,are you winding the spring to the spool then trying to insert the whole assembly? If so then you didn't understand me,put the spring in the casing first then put the spool onto that, making sure the tab seats properly, then inserting the screw, not tight though, just enough to prevent it from poping out, wind it,then insert the rope.

Nope! The pieces are sitting over by the fence somewhere, across the yard. They...managed to find their way over there, after suddenly becoming airborne for a short while. ![]() I switched over to working on my Mac "Eager Beaver".... I could get it to fire from pouring mix in the carby, but it wouldnt run otherwise. So I'm thinking "fuel delivery problem". So I pulled it apart to find the fuel line. ...... It doesnt have a fuel line... The gas tank has this fitting that pops onto a spigot down inside the casing and feeds directly through a needle into the carby. *ken scratches head* So I cleaned out everything I could get to...but even with all the screws removed and half the casings taken off, I can't figure out how to get the rest of the casing apart.... Its really odd. I managed to take the "on/off" switch apart, cuz you have to do that to get that cover off, but I never got the cover off, and now I'm trying to cram my HUGE fingers in there and get these switch contacts slid back together. Ima see if cleaning out the fuel sieve might have cleared up the delivery problem. Maybe it just needs to get started manually a few times and get the fuel flowing. *shrugs* Then I pulled apart my Mac Timber Bear...... I have chainsaw parts lying EVERYWHERE!!!! It's a work in progress... |

| Hi! I know it's been awhile since you were searching for a Poulan 1800 manual, but I was searching Google for parts for the same and found your manual in my search on eBay. eBay has listed a Poulan micro XXV 1800 manual--just search for Poulan 1800. Hope this helps! Do you happen to know where I can find a oil cap for Poulan 1800 Woodshark? (it can be oil and gas cap combo kit--just need the oil cap now!) Thanks so much! |
