Default O44 Help

see that orange thingy coming from the gas tank? it leaks gas right there at horizontal or upside down angles, seems to me like it should have a tube hooked up and going somewhere.

Any help would be great.

I had a look at my 038 magnum, which has a platic tank on it, and checked the parts manual. My saw looks nothing like yours. From your pics, I would guess that it is a vent. If it was a fuel line, I think you would see a tang(larger at the top) on it.

You might want to check e-bay, and get a service manual cheap. Or contact the local Stihl shop.

Sorry I couldnt help more!

Got the part today at Stihl shop, thanks guys. It was a little silicon breather that pops in from inside the tank.
