Default O Ring for Poulan Pro Gas Cap

Hey Group,

Quick question. I need to replace the O Ring for the gas cap for my Poulan Pro. What kind of store would have those? Are they generic? Also, anyone have a solution as to why these gas caps get so hard to screw on and off. I have to get a wrench to get mine loose and retighten.

Thanks Guys.

Make sure you get a fuel resistant O-ring and you will be ok. Poulan Pro is a wide spectrum kinda thing, which model do you have? The homeowners' models are kinda hopeless...The good ones may require a little filing of the threads after the fuel gets to them after a couple of years. The fuel we get nowadays is.. well shall we say poor. It causes problems with the fuel lines, carb diaphragms, filters, and sometimes the gas caps also. This is especially true if they are made out of the poor quality plastics that they use on the current model homeowner saws.
