I just joined and thought I'd post a pic of my old 028WB. I have a new 200T on the way! Hope to have it by the weekend. I'm just a homeowner who grew up around tree cutting/firewood/logging so it's in my blood a little. Just a weekend hobby you could say. MU |

Yeah. I've been told I'm a little anal with my equipment. It's a very low hour saw. I bought it from a guy here @work for $50.00. I put a new bar on it 2 years ago. I did not think it was worth much more than that at the time. Most of my experience has been with my Dad's Husky 266 and now newer Johnsered 2165. I did not have a saw at all before this 028. It is a great saw for it's size. I was comparing it at first to my Dad's new saw and thought it was underpowered. But that was before I knew how many cc's it is. It was not a fair comparison. It's definetley worth the $50 I paid IMO. MU |

I think that you got a Good deal for the Chain Saw. Who Cares if other People have that opinion of you being Anal with your Equipment. Ive been Told, that I'm very Fussy, when it comes to My Equipment. While theirs is in the Shop, or in need of Repair, I'm working with mine. Go Figure. Bruce.

That's my belief anyway, take care of your tools/equipment and they'll run well and perform for you for years, at least hopefully. MU |

That's a great little saw. A bit past it's prime with the newer stuff out there but you won't find any complaints from me! The 028WB was my first saw... I used it for 4 or 5 years, and now still retain it as a emergency backup saw. When *I* got it it was already 20 years old... just runs and runs. Good saw! |

I'd like a newer saw but cannot justify for the amount of cutting I do. Most of the time I just grab my new 200T. I cannot believe the power of this saw! It impresses me evertime I use it. Quite alot of balls for such a little saw! I've had the pleasure of running my Dad's Johnsered 2165 and it's a great saw. My brothers Husky 272XP is a powerhouse too but heavy IMO. I guess it's gotta be seeing it's 72cc's. MU | |

If you get the money for it, the 361 should be your next purchase. I moved up to that from my 028, a little over a year ago and I've been EXTREMELY pleased. Taken out stuff up to 5 1/2 ft diameter with it. It's light enough to use all day but powerfull enough to get the job done, a real winner all around. I can't think of a better all-around saw for regular use. |

Is it badged as a pro saw? Does it have the anti vibration system? How many cc's is it. Thanks, I guess I could look on Stihl's site too. MU |

We run 361's with 16" bar here, and 460's with 20". A lot of our timber is very hard, and some Eucs have real thick stringy bark that bogs then down. 660 runs 24" or 30", 084 and 088 with 36" 090 with 36", but have 48" and 60" bars, very seldom use the longer bars. Even a big trunk usually easier to work around with 36". The real long ones flex and are very clumsy to use.
