When cleaning my 200T a piece of rubber fell out from near the spark plug. I've attached the page from the IPL to identify the part in question. It is part # 6 - Clamp. it's a rectangular piece of rubber approx. 3mm thick. I haven't noticed anything wrong with the saw and was wondering if anyone knows what this part does and is it worth pulling it apart to replace it? The tech at the local Stihl shop fist told me that it wasn't from a 200t as he had never seen it before. After some prompting, he looked on the IPL, found it, and said it wouldn't matter as he has stripped and built many of them and had never seen that particular part. ![]() Can anyone help? |

It looks to me like a pad to protect a part against wear or vibration, maybe the plug lead or fuel line. Are you able to dismantle another saw to have a look?

It's the only climb saw I have but I only do tree work part time. I can pull it down, I just didn't want to if it's not worth the effort. The guy at the Stihl shop told me not to worry about it, but I don't always believe what I'm told. |
