Really the best way to decide which saw will work is to actually handle them. I prefer Stihl for it resale and build quality.

You are exactly rite. I dont mean to bash but some of the dealers around here think that stihl is the only saw made. If they wont come down on price i go to somebody that will. If i was a saw dealer when a man came in my shop and picked up a $1000 chainsaw he would be my new best friend. I been in some and they look at you and go the other way. Now recently I found a dealer that is 30 miles away and he takes care of me he went out of his way to get me a ms440 and he even gave me a real good deal.

I have a 3120 and a 660. Personally i would use the 660 before the 3120 as its easier to handle and seems to have better anti vibe. Does it have to be a 120cc range saw? |

I was mainly wanting it for a milling saw and stump work every once in a while. I have a 660 would it be a good enough saw for milling? I have never done any milling

I use a stock 660 for milling with a 36'' bar and it does it easy, you may need a 880 if you wont to do big stuff like 50'' bars.

I don't know about the 880 but I know my 3120 can be a real pain to restart when its hot and you are using it on a hot day. There is a thread on here somewhere about it. I think the fuel evaporates in the fuel line or something similar

I probrably wouldnt need anything over 36 in as far as milling goes so im sure my 660 would work. I hear the 880 and 3120 are kinda a disappointment when it comes to cutting speed so i may just use what i have.
