Hi there!
I havent posted here yet, although Ive been a member for a little more than a year. Ive had the same problem with my ms361 as ive seen posted here. I tried just a piston , not oem,but burned that up also. Im guessing that running the saw till the tank emptied had a lot to do with the original failure. sooooo....
I pulled the saw apart, and installed the aftermarket 49 mm big bore head and piston. Ive read that stock idle and
wot specs are about 3300 and 14k respectively. With the different head and piston, can I expect this to remain the same? Im having issues getting the low speed to drop down that far, about 4k seems to be the best.
If this post gets too long just yell at me

I had both h and l screws maxed out, but the last time I ran it, it appeared to be over revving. I checked for leaks, the only thing I found was the throttle plate shaft, is this a normal air leak in these carbs? A drop of gumout on the shaft end would kill the motor.
I have since removed the limiters from the mixture screws, and am attempting to tune the saw.
Also, does anyone know the actual torque specs for the carb assembly, muffler, and cylinder head?
any help would be appreciated......
Thx
Vince
