Check oil pump, easy enough to get to. They corrode out for me and drip oil but that's life with palms.

Another possibility of your Oil Leak, could be the Gasket on the Oil Cap itself. I picked up an 024 recently Cheap from my Dealer, and I was told that the Gasket for the two halves of the Crank Case, and Oil Tank as leaking. I bought the Chain Saw, took it home and took the Gas/Oil Mix assembly off, cleaned up the Crank Case, and filled the Oil Tank with Var sol. I couldn't find the leak anywhere, so I put some High Temp Gasket Maker long the seam just in case that was where it was leaking, and I put the Chain Saw back together. I then drained out the Var sol, and filled the Oil Tank with Bar Oil. With the Chain Saw all cleaned up nice, I was able to find the Oil Leak fast. It was the Seal on the Oil Cap. So I replace the Oil Cap, and was a very Cheap Fix. Hope this helps. Bruce. |

ours always leak on the front of the saw along the seam. those things will drain half the tank on the way to a job, it's terrible.

Have you considered trying to put some High Temp Gasket Maker along the seam of the Chain Saw? It might help, if you clean the Saw up first, before application, and wipe off the axcess after you apply it. Or possibility of renewing the Gasket itself? Bruce.
