I have a 20" Techlite on the way for my incoming 365 Special. I didn't realize that there was also a laminate version however. On the "News" pages from March 16, 2011 fon Husqvarna Canada they highlight the laminate version and on the US site "Press" pages from October 29, 2011 they highlight the sprocket tip version. Anybody use these bars yet, either version? Was everyone aware of the laminate or am I just late to the news?

Sorry LJ, not at all versed in the Techlite bars, have had good luck with the Husky branded Oregon Powermatch bars though.

They are a laminated RSN bar - simple and unkommon as that! ![]() The laminated body has a mid laminate of aluminum to reduce the weight, and the laminate is both glued with some "space" glue, and riveted, as far as I know. The production is said to be "manpower intensive", which means the price becomes high - specially since it happens in high-cost Norway (at Huskys own bar factory, Oregon is not involved)........ |
