Default Husky 460?

Hi all. Am looking at a couple of 460's for my lads on the ground. Does anyone have one in their kit or are they not suitable for professional use?
Cheers

Default Re: Husky 460?

My neighbor and another guy both have the Husky 460 saws. They are running the 24" bar on them and have had them for about 1 year. They haven't had any troubles yet as I am the one that would look at them. I have used the saws on occation and they seem light and run pretty good out of the box. I would say they seem like stihl mid grade saws. If I get to play with one, I might open the exhaust a little and richen the carb jet slightly.

It depends on how well the ground guys treat equipment. If they know that abusing a piece of equipment will make it fail faster then the 460 is fine. If your s guys are tough on equipment then look at something more disposalable.

More disposable? I'm looking at buying saws from o/s and they are less than 500 wood chips! Am only looking at running a 20inch bar on them. Cheers for responses so far!
