3120 is a good doorstop or boatanchor,No comparison to an 088.

3120 can be difficult to start when its hot and its a hot day. I use a 660 before a 3120 for its useability and better anti vibe

A 088-880 will rule the woods before the husky gets started

I had the same trouble with a 076av ,seems to happen a fair bit ...hot summers in OZ! and fuel evaporation in the inlet from heat transfer ,running the H richer and opening up the muffler to dissipate heat faster can help a lot ,also letting the saw idle before stopping helps

stihl 880 every time, I got one with 3 foot and 5 foot bar an animal of saw. husky 3120 with a 4 foot bar doesn't have the balance.

You must have the Willy Wonka Golden Ticket 3120 , from memory only 5 were made.

The 3120 I used started but couldn't match the 880 in most other areas. I did use one once in the Alice that was set up for racing, it went hard but with a dirty great expansion chamber hanging out the side it was impracticable for much else except a few quick cross cuts.

Cheers

Tony

Husky make some reasonable saws, and Stihl make some average ones fact in this case is the 3120 is no match for an 880 overall.

Cheers

Ahhh comon, read my post #10. Were a friendly bunch, and no-one said anything about junk or idiots, friendly bit a rivalry. Some models are good in one brand some better in the other, its not that the 3120 is rubbish its just my opinion its not in the same league as a 880. Just so happens its shared by a couple of others.
