Default How to fix loose rubber on HT131?

The rubber on the shaft of our HT131 pole saw has come loose. It would be approx the first 40-50cm from the powerhead where we hold it. Does anyone know how we can re-stick it to the shaft?

On my HT75 it sort of shrunk, it's now got like a 30cm gap where it is too short.

I'm just used to it now but when it's loose and can rotate that would be annoying. Maybe get a knife and cut it, and glue it with some real strong glue.

to Stihl.
I spoke to their customer service and they are sending me a new shaft. I just have to have it changed over at my cost. I'll probably do it myself unless the dealer will do it at a good price.

Pay the dealer, I hear they are a nightmare in there (the shaft that is)!

The problem with the 131's is the extra power heats up the shaft and handle heaps more especially if using flat out on warm day.

best to stick wityh the ht75 or ht101 IMHO

The dealer is going to charge $88 to swap it over so I'll take your advice and let them do it. I'll have a crack at re-sticking the old one so I have spare.
