Default Getting ontrack2 his parts!

Its not a saw but its a saw part.

I have a Tanaka ECS506 saw and need a new rear handle as the original one has broken. Tanaka Power Equipment in the US have one available for US$79.75 but they dont ship internationally.

The Australian Distributor wont order me the part so i am stuck.

Any chance you can get the part and ship it to me in Australia?

Looking....

If they sell it here, just paypal me the $$ w/ shipping cost, and I'll purchase and send it to you.

Ekka will reference me.

I'll see if I can find it right now.

Cheers..This is the email I got from Chris Burtis at Tanaka...

Quote:
Good – Have them contact me directly and I will make sure it gets handled. The issue was that we didn’t have the part you ordered 010.32600.211 but we did have the 010.32600.910 and agreed to sell it for the same price which is $79.75. Shipping to US destination is $10.95. Visa or MC.

They can call me at 1.877.282.6252 x213.
Let me know how much extra for shipping to Australia and will Paypal the money.

As for other parts..

The only other bits (dont really need them though, but they are starting to wear) if they have them are:

360-32600-800 Brake Reset Plate Comp.
373-32600-801 Brake Arm Comp
374-32600-201 Brake Spring
378-32600802 Brake band

Oh crap, you arent rated for it yet. Okay we'll do it on here.

If you think you might need the other parts, lets just do it to save on $$ for shipping twice later on. Or not, its up to you =)

I'll call Mr. Burtis at Tanaka tomorrow and have a chat with him.

Ideally, lets see if you can pay for it, but have it shipped to me. I'll just remove his shipping info, weigh, and re-ship to AUS, and you can paypal me the shipping $$.

After I talk with him, I'll get with you on here to sync everything up and then go ahead with it.

Ok! I'll email you and post up on here tomorrow after I call him. Try to decide what all you want. Or we can hold off a bit if I'm rushing you. I didnt think of that.

Just got off the phone with Mr. Burtis.
(they're apparently closed for inventory, and he wasnt exactly the outgoing & friendly type, but I kept him on track till we got things settled)

Call him at the number you gave me, give him all the part #'s you wish to order, handle the payment over the phone, and have him ship it to me. He said that's not a problem, that he'd be happy to do it that way.

Give me your personal info in email, and I'll re-ship it to you as soon as I get it.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150364482578&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123I had looked at this bar on eBay, and was in contact with the seller, out of Spokane Washington. They informed me that this is a new company for chain saw bars and they make their own product.
I asked him how much the shipping would be to me, and he informed me that they don't ship Internationally. Can one of you US members give me a hand with this bar, and I'll see if the seller would do it the way Therrin talked about with ontrack2.
I need a new bar for my 044, and this would be good enough, for the cutting of fire wood, that I do with my 044.
I know that this sale is over, but I'm sure it will be re listed again. Thanks. Bruce.

Sure, call them and ask if they'll ship it to a Bakersfield, Ca address even if YOU pay for it. Some places wont do that with CC orders.

If they're down to do it, get back to me and give me the details.

I'm going to see if I can find a dealer in Canada, first before I do anything. Will have to see what happens here first. Bruce.

About ebay. Most sellers make their profit on shipping charges.

I was running the web-side of a client's ebay business for a while. Once they explained this to me it made more sense how they could sell stuff for so cheap, or so close to the price they got it for. If you can make an extra $5 on shipping, that people who dont want to argue will just PAY, then every time it's pure profit coming in.

The fight is in the bidding usually, and it gets people amped up. So once its *theirs*, they just pay the shipping either without thinking or complaining. SNAG!

Hi Ken.
I haven't tried to get in touch with this guy, about the bar yet. I've been trying to get a cylinder for my 024, from another guy from eBay. I needed on for my 024, because when I got this chain saw, there was some cooling fins broken off of it. The one I got is in decent shape, and I also ordered a new piston kit for it as well.
The other day I was cutting fire wood here, and from the cooling fins missing, the chain saw got too hot, and seized up on me. Once I get these parts, I'll be getting this chain saw back together again, so this bar is put on the back burner for a little bit. Take care, and thanks. Bruce.
