i'm a total husky guy and i love my 385/390 xp's. tweaaked right out and damn hard workers. go balls out all day long, will do what a 395 or 660 will, just a little lighter. but i'm sure every climber can agree those ms 200/ 020's are amazing. i've had climbers drop them from 50 feet and only brake minor things. gas tank, muffler and such. 30 min with a part saw available and it's good to go again

| i've had 3 stihls,034 av,ms360 pro and the s-10.All three could barely pull thier asses or meet my expectations. The last one[ms 360] took a swan dive from about 65' up.It wasn't out of tune and no engine trouble or i would have fixed having been a mechanic since i was 12.Just gutless i guess.

yeah the huskies definitely rule, i've ran a few 036's and they were decent, but i have an old husky, 62 i think(don't quote me) about the same as a 26, and it always starts quick and just does the job, even after a year or more of sitting. wouldn't buy a stihl for anything other than that 200, it just out does the hucky version hands down and it has a bigger fuel tank. it weighs a little more, but i'm over 200 lbs, doesn't make any differance to me if its heavier. the time saved on feul ups and screwing around is worth a shot at least.

If a STIHL (the best saw on earth) is giving you any trouble, you are the source of the trouble, not the saw. I have tried every attempt at a husky top handle and they were/are all garbage. The other huskies,....."the apple cannot fall far from the tree". If you cannot afford the best, no matter what it is, you can't make yours the best by just saying so or by knocking #1. It just makes it look better. Sour grapes. Homeowner Stihls suck, but we are not homeowners so why buy them? Maybe somebody will buy you guys a real saw for your birthday. ![]()

i'm not totally knocking stihls, they by far make the best climbing saw, but for anything else i want the husky. last week i had a snag split on me half way thru my back cut. it just missed me, but pinched my saw. bent my bar bent my handle bars, took me 5 minute to hack it out with my ax. the whole time it kept running. got it out straighted my handle bars with the ax, replaced the bar and kept going. not a problem since. all of the stihl guys in camp said there saws would have been in far worse shape ad not have finished the day let alone a shift. the stilhs have less parts to them, so easier to fix and maintain (only because hey need more of it) but the huskies are proven to be much more durable stronger saws in the bush. even the stihl guys admit it.

Just bought a new ms660 today. It replaces the 064 size I had stolen last fall. I'm sure this one has been hashed out before but I am impressed with the power to weight. Doesn't feel any heavier than my 044's. Price real reasonable until Uncle Sam grabs some of your money to send to the moon or Iraq or gold plated white house crappers or whatever.
