has anyone ran the new Jonsered/husky arborist saws? I know they are pretty much the same company. (i think) but I'm a hardcore Jonsered fan. The quality and dependability is amazing. Ive ran my Jons. pro35 into the dirt after my dad and it only waists bar oil after about 8 years.

I got this dealer that I go to real close to home that sells Jonsereds and Dolmars. The mechanics say that they are both good saws but Jonsered is a little better. (looks way better, not that it matters) But I've never seen one up until now and, forsure have no idea how they run. Any opinions out there?

Hi all, im new to the site, anyway the saw i use most of the time is a stihl ms260 and if god needed a chainsaw he'd use one of them, its a good all rounder but my fav saw atm is the ms200, unlike the ms200t you can use this on the ground, it's just so light and easy to use when theres those fiddly bits to cut, say when a branch wont go through the chipper etc, we used to have a carving bar on it, but it soon become warped, possibly because of the design, it was possibly because of the heating up and cooling down etc.

Apparently in UK you're not allowed to use a top handled saw on the ground ... so I've been told.

I love the 200T, I run a Stihl 14" light weight bar. Well balanced.

My ms250 has crapped itself,. that was my ground saw for bits and pieces now I use a 440 instead. Dont think I'll replace that 250 though ... just jump from a 200 to 440

Thats true but theres so many pikeys, maybe i should say non professional people lol going around carrying out tree work and they get away with it, i see it all the time, where ever you look theres a transit van with a tree hanging out the back of it. Anyway back on topic, we needed the 880 today, that took some starting, when you pull it over not realising the decompresor button is out, basically breaks your wrist lol anyway the job got done.

Who enforces all these laws in the UK? No knives, no guns, no TH saws on the ground... I mean, we do stuff with those tools here day in and day out. Sawing the TH on the ground, using knives of all sizes, and sporting guns for protection and hunting.

We have cougars here. Live big kitty cats with big calws and teeth. We also have bears, but I have not seen a bear around here in over a year. Had a woman poach a deer here last year that I busted. She an old beater SKS. POS. Blew the doe's head clean off with 5 rounds. State police were disgusted. Poaching on our private property after sundown, and blew the thing's head clean off. She lost her rifle, knives, and the deer, and paid a fat fine.

Windthrown, I was wondering the same thing about the enforcement. I have a friend who went it a government job. He was a transport compliance officer, anyone who has driven a transport truck knows what I am talking about.

He stops by one day for coffee, and we start discussing what his day-to-day routine was. He pretty much covered west central Saskatchewan by himself. I was surprised, as we all knew that they have hundreds of employees. He explained that the bureaucracy was like an inverted Christmas tree. ! guy working the job and the rest allocating responsibility. OH&S (OSHA US) are like minded. Policy pushers with poor results.

I guess society has elected them, the monster has matured, and more law abiding people will suffer, because we bend some rules. The criminals know how to USE the system.

The Cylinders and pistons were done by Dean at Washington Pro saws. The 066 and the 460 are both Modded So the 066 is still faster than the 460, but way faster than stock saws.

Do you have any times on stock cuts and then times of the cuts after work done in the same wood and size for a comparison ? What cc does a BB460 come out to be?

V-8 saw racing is old news to most in the chainsaw business.

Timed cuts? with a stop watch? Not me Jack, thats for my friends over at Racesaws.com. All I know is both saws are notably "way" faster than the stock saws that I have used of the same model. If you have ever ran a saw that has been modified, you really can tell a 30% increase in power.

You don't have a problem with Deans work do you? He is well established in work saws. Although I did the building of the saws, he was the one who did the cylinder work.

Thanks for your interest in my saws.
Scott.
