if you have a new 330T or 360T take the red carb limiter caps out, take off the spark screen and the exhaust deflector and screw the 4 screws back on directly to the muffler. i had to re tune the carb richer and it is good to go! this saw rips! its a bit louder now but has more torque and the throttle is snappier with less hesitation. if your actually doing this mod just know that your 5 year coverage will be void. video up soon

This is an excellent modification for this saw, it works exceptionally well. We are at 8500 feet in altitude and find this necessary for most saws, as well as other engines. It is helpful also to open up a couple of places to let a little more air in to go with the escape gas velocity, if you can get them close to matching you will receive maximum benefit!

I did that same mod to my 2 year old 350T a month or so ago; made a huge difference to the saw! I've always been happy with this saw & this mod has made it much more aggressive. I love it! I took 4 stone fruit trees out of a backyard today & this saw did the bulk of the work (as it always seems to do) I used a bigger saw for the stump cuts, but only because I only run a 12" bar on the Echo & it was easier to use a saw with a longer longer bar to do it. |

they dont sell the 350T in america i wish they would. i think its partially due to the fact that they have a large market for the 360T and 330T. after you mod either the 330 or 360T they run like tops. they have a ported muffler stock! they have a better crank shaft design then the stihl 192T. the only thing i dont like about my echo is that it flings alot of bar oil but i think its because im still running the stocker bar and chain. im going to buy an oregon pro bar and 91vxl chain for the 330T soon and i hope it helps solve the excessive bar oil problem.

shoot if only we could all run canola oil instead... ![]() switched back to the 192t for the same reason, echos fling so much oil even with the oiler all the way down its bs. also running the stock bar on mine, dont see how switching bars would fix this. I dont like the square non ergonomic grip the echo offers, and i could do without the extra weight for what power it has over the 192t, (might change me mind if i decide to mod it.... )I have my gripes with the stihls aswel after having 2 (two) brand new less than a week old ms200t's blow up on us, they said small pieces of metal debris must have gotten into the combustion chamber but its stihl the saw i reach for... even though its sluggish & underpowered, lol and with the carbon graphite bar its feather liiiight! |
