i call it a bar. and the sharp things on the chain? i call them cutting teeth. and the "raker"? i call it a depth gauge. a buddy of mine (none tree guy) called me one day and asked, "how do you sharpen the blades on a chain saw?" i said you cant. he asked, "what do you mean you cant. then how do you sharpen the blades on your saws, and where do i buy new blades?" i told him i dont. he asked, "then what do you do when your blades go dull?" i said, "first of all, stop hitting the dirt. second of all, you cant buy or sharpen something that doesnt exist." after a lengthy earfull from me about proper terminologoy, he says, "quit being an a$$hole!!!" LOL....joe home owner....gotta love it! |

| I don't think so. I recall a photo of Gypo posted on AS by someone (Gary or Jeff maybe?) holding a 660 or an 880 (I forget which) with his naked butt showing in the photo. That got the 'Big Kahuna' all riled up, and the Troll banned for wondering why a guy with a naked butt was such a big stink on AS. Europe is far more tolerant of nudity. Anyway, by the time the smoke cleared, the thread was wiped, several people were banned, and the mods and owner were all in a huff. Much to do about nothing. It was very amusing. |

There were some classics I recall. There was some serious bannings when some-one called something a Jehova's cut. Wow, did that get some-one riled up.

Actually, the straw that broke the camels back was when I let another banned member post using my username. The post made wasn't what I had in mind, resulting in my banning. I probably needed a break anyway as AS was taking up alot of my time. John

It was always the loggers vs the climbers. lol It sure was fun, although I don't harbour any resentment towards those that attacked me or vice versa. I once recall a climber saying his wife thought I was a friutcake, so I replied and said,"so your wife thinks I'ma fag ey? Well, while so and so is running his fingers thru your ponytail, I'll be in NY putting the wood to your wife!" It all was some pretty funny reading with lots of photosheeped pictures. The funniest was when I was Trinity's lap monkey. lol John

Damn, I will have to re-publish my Gypo calendar now. TreeCo posted it last on AS as you, looking for golf balls. Funny about your banning as well. The mods sent me some PMs there after I re-posted that photo as a quote, and Trimmmed (I think it was him, the PM is gone) claimed that you requested to be banned, and they just complied. Heh heh heh. Nothing like disinformation on AS. I agree on your point about spending too much time on AS though. Andy and I pretty much came to the same conclusion. This site takes up a few minutes a day, about the right amount of time. I can get questions answered here without all the BS and attitude that I got there.

| I met her at the PNW GTG this spring. She is rather on the huge side. I would not know about her having the clapp. I doubt that anyone or anything could get that close. She is typical east coast. I do not know why she is on AS at all. She sat in the shade and watched us carve up a truckload of oak logs with 100+ chainsaws. We were like dung beetles on a fresh pile of elephant turds. I mean, why would someone join AS for the social climate???

| ![]() Ha! I got all my rep there begging for it. Talon hyper-inflated the feedback system into the toilet. Glad they love you so much over there. I will have to login and give you a heap of + AS rep! I was also the first ever to get a 'complaining about site moderation' infraction. Seems that they invented it for me... |

I get called a nobammie and liberal idiot. ![]() That Shoerfast was talking so much shit I wrote a post and said, "Shoer-fast but Thinketh-slow" That's when I copped the infraction for harassing another member yet the geniuses allow a cowardly rep system like this. Did you know that in the boards options turning off neg rep is possible so only positive or nothing can be left, stops gang ups.Forest Gump has those guys backs, so the site has become dominated by bias, supported by corrupt moderation.

A BAR. Any kind of blade I've ever seen has a edge on it.
