Hey Steve, you want to post up a few pics of "my" 048 Super???

Just kidding, you claimed it fair and square.

She was two when she made this.... I think I have a problem.

Hay tim I don't have any pics of the 042 Yet.
The cover said 042 and it was a 042 I should have passed on it.

She is cute.

Yeah, I noticed that all of the pics were taken so as to obscure the ID plate on that saw. The previous owner pretty much ignored me when I asked him to provide pics with the tag visible. Sucks that he screwed you over on it. I'll have to go back and remember who it was. He'll go on my "do not deal" list.

I can't remember right now but will send a PM when I find it.

I might use some of the parts off of it on my 048.

Yeah guys really liked them 166 for some reason. But IMHO they felt like a water balloon half full in my hands, compared to swinging a 084 around.

Have fun guys, yall love your saws which is great to see, I read these threads too but am more a tree nerd than a saw collector, but still enjoy it. I only have the run of the mill stuff off the shelf, but the saw I used and loved the most for daily work is gone now, replaced by a boat anchor called the MS441 ... dang I loved the old MS440

Good info thanks, I'll start more pics per post, and update this thread often.

My saws are not nice enough to be in a restores collection, but I love them. I work them all.

No worries on that. You have recently gotten some folks registered here with quite impressive collections. We'll take care of the saw-nerd stuff.

Please do, most of you are well respected.

Do not get suckered into what others have in the past though:-
  1. poaching members for other sites
  2. dropping links to rival sites

Yeah, in the past some came simply to take people away.

I am here because of the saws, and nothing else. Politics are not for me in any form. The only thing less interesting to me would be watching two guys make out. I think most of us are members at several sites, as am I. lately I have been enjoying the different flavor of several forums while I decide where I fit in best. In the end I may decide to stick with brand "A", or switch to brand "F." In either case, I intend to contribute here as long as I am welcome.

I doubt that. Just so happens that Mr. Bow Saw happens to be one of my "CAD godfathers." It was very early in my collecting when I got a 250 MAC parts saw from him which fueled my interest. (As a side note, if Bow Saw calls it a "parts saw," it is probably better than most of the ones "for rebuild" on Ebay....)
He was able to email me and I asked the mods for help. If you knew my email addy and asked, I would have gladly done the same for you. We're all equal here.
