I just brought some chain on ebay brand pro-scape. Has any body tried it? I got 3/8 63/1000 and it has it has 3D on the drive links so its not Carlton or Stihl. The straps are not rounded they are cut 45 deg on the corners. I have seen Oregon chain and GB-EVO with these 45 deg corners. Could it be Oregon chain or do they make chain in China now?

From my understanding there has been chain from china for awhile now (copied like everything else). That dont mean yours is. But buyer beware ![]() .

I think it might be made in China as they don't mention any where on the box where it is made. USA, Sweden and Germany always like to let you know where it is made. It doesn't mean it is not good coming from China but I only got 25' just in case.

Yes they have been making Chinagon chain for awhile. It works really well with a Chinavarna saw.

Correction: It fits a Chinavarna saw really well, but works is a whole different issue.

Its stretched when brand new, need to wind the tensioner near all the way out before it tightens, wants its worn a bit you will need to take out a drivelink. Had a loop of it, straight in the bin, total waste of money, only $30 but anyway, lesson learnt. "In life you get what you pay for" Stick with the USA and stihl chains, wont do your head in. | |

trust me you might want to throw that chain as far as you can.and then go buy a made in the usa chain.because the china chain gets dull on the 3 or 4th cut and it's hard to sharpen back because of the temper in the chain isn't worth a hoot

You know cheap chain when you use it and once you change to a superior brand again you'll never go back to it. Cutting, sharpening, stretching are all major issues with cheap chain especially when you're running saws all day long. Cheap metal does not make the grade and can also result in harder wear and tear on your saw in the long run. Alternatively if links snap it could also cause an injury.
