Bought a new MS460 today!

As the title says, picked up a brand spanker today.

Geez ya realise how rough your old saws become when you put a virgin next to it on the work bench!

Pity i wont be the one who gets to pop it's cherry

The guys will all take turns on it and give it a floggin before i get to play with her

I just bought one on Friday for my job on Saturday. Have to love that new saw feel. Nothing like a new 460!!!!!

Might go really hard with a Wojo muffler.

Definately will look into them!!! do they void the waranty? its only 3 months anyway I supose lol.

This one was aussie. I have a stihl shop 4 doors down from us that's pretty good, the deal was ok and i needed it NOW!

I've brought em in from the US before & yes you can save a few hundred $$$

I'm also about due for a 660 so i'll look into that for it

Yep i gonna wojo up it & an older one too, & the 066!

Had a casing failure on one, likely due to palm corrosion. A little tab that locates the brake band disintegrated.

So i'll retire it for parts.

okay,just called the dealer,the 460 powerhead with taxes runs 828.14.this does not includ shipping,needto price shipping based on continent,and address.

That would owe me about $1150 AUD landed vs $1528 AUD.

Can you get me a price on a 660, thats what i really need next, but i know where i can get a brand new 440 which would be good.

I'm probably a month or so off though.

Be warned the USA 066 are not as good..Ive had 2 and wish i hadnt!I think it depends which state they come from.

Noone seems to have trouble with them here,and i'm sub tropical so were pretty close to the same climate.

I have a 460 that has the factory dual port muffler. I run it with a 36" bar and a full chain. It cuts marginally better than our new 660 and is lighter.

I just got a MS460 PH only for $1350 with the $100 cash back at the moment.

Could this have some connection with the carb. and oil pump issues discussed in Therrin's two saws post??

Mainly the Stihl comment about our hardwoods.
