Blippers are about as annoying as people that can't rotate pictures.

Default Blipping poll

superfire's thread got me thinking.

Just like the title says. Blip or not to blip. Thought it would make a interesting poll.

Here is a old video I made to annoy a guy once that said he couldnt stand video's of guys blipping their saws. So I went a little over board just for him, back in the day.

Cutting 23" spruce doing a work chain comparison one day.

I like to blip it up after the cut under no load, give it a shake too .... might dislodge some junk and help cool it down.

I try not to do it, but subconsciously I probably do here and there not realising it. I've always seen it as a sign of an untrained operator.imo. for me theres two speeds idle and flat out !

Ok. I kinda have to do it a fair bit when cutting messmate that is over 300mm in diam as that fluffy bark clogs and jams the bar up, and do it some more if you hit a gum pocket, just to clear the saw and get it all oiled up.

So, Blip the Bleep out of it.

P.s. I've always called it "wanking" cos' most people i have seen doing it don't have a clue

Climbers that blip it when they haven't taken the chainbrake off annoy the blip out of me! Blip, oh, click, brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, blip, click
I tend to use the chainbrake when attaching idling saw to harness or passing idling saw behind back but this is not about chainbrakes.
Blip when it's necessary!
