Default Bar oil leaking

Hi everybody, I'm new here and it seems like there are some real knowledgeable people here, so I have a question that some of you guys might be able to help me with. I have an 041 stihl farm boss that leaks oil from the oil pump hole at the front of the saw. Just sitting there it will weep a whole tank of oil out through the pump hole without being run. Any suggestions would be helpful and thanks in advance.

Well, could even be the oil filler cap .... for oil to get out air could be getting in.

Could be a broken or cracked line etc. Sometimes the pump is also the problem.

You'll need to strip it and check it out, it's annoying when the saw sits overnight etc and leaves a huge puddle.

I have never owned that model saw but from experience with other Stihl saws it's always something simple .....

Could be dirt around the seal on the filler cap or a piece of debris has made it's way into the pump at the control bolt and not shuttig down all the way to seal off. I've heard of some guys blowing these things out with a little fuel mix, but not for me, I'd tear it apart if I checked all the simple, obvious things and it still leaked that much.
