Default 455 rancher

So this is my first real saw Ive ever owned. I had a little poulan that was given to me and bought this saw on the same day that I threw the poulan across my yard. I cut about five or six cords a year and its been a decent little saw. I had one problem with adjusting the fuel mixture but I finally took care of that. Up until this year when I checked to see that oil was coming out, I would point the bar at a log and look to see there was a line coming out. This year it stopped doing that. So I took the thing down to the pump and cleaned everything out. When I turn the pump I have oil coming out and I can also see a steady flow of oil coming out of the line when I run the saw without the bar. But I still cant see any oil when I put it toward a log. Also my chains are acting really weird which i am taking as a symptom of my oil problem. They will get real tight then I adjust them and get them right and next thing you know theyre about to spin right off. I looked up this saws reviews and seen that other people had problems keeping everything clean. So any ideas. Also Im thinking of just selling the dang thing and getting a different saw. So any ideas.

Yeah, what he says, clean the bar groove and hole, file off any burrs (dress the bar), clean the chain as sometimes the chain itself has holes to carry the oil and they're plugged/gummed up too.

yes I checked and cleaned the holes on the bar. I will try cleaning the chain tomorrow. What should I use a little gas or just water or a brush?

Gas is good but use gloves as it is carcinogenic
