| Those who have a 390xp mostly report that it is a very good saw. I understand that it really shines in the anti-vibe department. The 395 has more power, but it is a much older and heavier design. It has an outboard clutch and usually a front chain tensioner, but lots of people love it anyway! Both should have no problem whatsoever with a 30" bar. |

We run both of these saws 395 has more power but the 390 is the new step up of the old 385.The 390 is lighter and well balanced, you will not have a p problem with any of these saw.

| Hey Will, tell us more about that 262 prototype... Make up your own thread about it yeah? How do you find it handles kickback? What I can see straight away is that your right arm is always going to be on the right hand side of the bar, therefore in the even of a major kickback it is likely that it is gunna cut your arm...

thanks for the reply, its a 262XPH made for the russian market.and the only place it's available.i got mine from a collector in norway.its brand new and never been run.it sure does look strange don't it ! it would be my opinion that its a different game cuttin' russian style if i ever run mine i'll take off the russian tank & handles and put on the regular set-up ![]() if anybody wants one pm me & i'll see if my friend has any left.its expensive. and that model was replaced by the 365XPH.which is what is available now. | |
