May be the spark arresting screen in the muffler.

does the muffler vent towards the sleeve?if so the fuel line is vapor locking and the muffler needs 2 holes drilled in the front. My 141 did the same.

I used to have the same problem with some older Huskys, they didn't like hot dry weather. What temp have you got now 40+? Altitude can be a problem, you might have the reverse effect. Try a bit richer tuning? Maybe Saw Troll will come out of nowhere & help, he can usually spot a 346 post, |

Check to see if it has a flap from the cylinder area to the air intake. These are for cold climates. If it is open you will have this problem in Aust. I had the same problem with a 288.

Inspect the fuel lines closly for pin holes - this just was up on another forum..... ![]() Also check the fuel tank vent, just to make sure. Last edited by SawTroll; 11th October 2008 at 01:09 AM. |

Geday KIMTREE up north, Have you ever had carby off, it might pay to check the screws/nuts holding carby to cylinder, also agree with Sawtroll re fuel lines, but would check fit/tightness of fuel lines onto fittings, as well as pin holes. Other than that, buy a STIHL mate, nothing ever goes wrong with red and white. (Not!) Good luck. |
