To be honest mate I have been trying to justify buying one for a couple of years, I dont need it as I have two perfectly good ms200t & 338xpt, I thought maybe buying a bigger engine would work better than mods on a smaller engine and still allow for mods. I have heard that the cali is down tuned to meet emmision regulations, so I thought any problems I have heard may be rectified with a carb change . It seems pretty hard to get any real opinions other than dealers so I appreciate yours

I thought the bigger cc Calif saws were to make up for the epa muffler restrained saws there. Needed more cc to be the same as everyone else saws in smaller cc.

Where there is a will to open it up and fine tune etc, I bet more could be had with the cc. But like he says why bother, put the money toward a good port job on what you already have and watch the smaller cc saw wake.
