Default 200T pull cord

not only does my 660 not start sometimes (many of you were helpful on some ideas) my 200T developed a habit of the pull cord not retracting back after i pull it. we took it apart, the metal spring that terminates into a "J" hook on the cover was out of its pocket. we got it back together (winding the spring back was fun!!!) but the pull cord still stays retracted after a few pulls. to go into a long discription of what is/and is not happening will take to long. so basically, how do i put the damn thing back together the right way. we cant get it to work.

oh yeah my 460 stop switch wont kill the motor unless you give some good thumb pressure to push the switch up

my chipper wont start, my climber called off today

welcome to self employeed.

It sounds like the groove is wore out,the only thing to do is buy a new assembly[the whole pull start assembly, plastic and all].The 460,buy some electronic cleaner and spray the switch, also check the connections make sure thier tight.Did you check for fuel and spark when the chipper wouldn't start?

Maintenance. It is small dollars spent, to save large dollars over time. If you are unable or unwilling to do it yourself pay a professional.

Welcome to business, self employed is a different thing altogether.

Did you put an extra ring of twist onto that drum of the pull cord? Whilst the cover is off, pull some cord througha dn take an extra wrap on the drum, easy.

Sounds like you needed a day off, being self emp will test you.

Amen.

with the 200

sounds like it might be just binding up, spray a bit of WD40 or RP7 on the mechanism, that should get her working again.
