I am looking for someone who has specialised knowledge of Australian woods (Queensland - Brisbane area), particularly firewood similar to those mentioned in the table below. The wood must be untreated and have moisture content of no more then 20%. In the USA some woods that fit the types I am looking for are as follows: SPECIES: Cedar, W. Red HEAT: Medium to Low EASE OF SPLITTING: Easy EASE OF STARTING: Easy COALING PROPERTIES: Fair SPARKS: Many SPECIES: Pine, Ponderosa HEAT: Medium to Low EASE OF SPLITTING: Easy EASE OF STARTING: Easy COALING PROPERTIES: Fair SPARKS: Moderate If anyone could help it would be very appreciated. Thanks. |

Hmmm, I don't really get what you are after. Are you after some wood to burn immediately with that moisture content count? Or are you after a similar burning wood to the ones stated?

Eric, that's not good wood to burn. Too much sap. I'm not familiar with Australian trees, but don't you think a well seasoned oak would be a better alternative?
