You got dead ash in Michigan and I'm getting a lot of dead hemlocks here in Tennessee. And over there in Ekka's part of the world it's gettng to be springtime. Know where I'd rather be.

again, nice stack Cutrite. The wife loves those neat piles I bet. Later in the winter I bring a big load into my driveway and just dump it and burn it from the pile. Wife don't care for that tech.

I love the roundwood like you've got, it burns longer.

Hi Cutrite, long time..... No don't have a bar. damper. It has a wide open damper or you close it and it makes exhaust take a round about way to the flue. Maybe 15 to 20 outside and it is 74 or 75 in entire house. Humidifier is the best accessory IMO. Been burning non stop and used no Heating fuel. Basement where a woodstove usually would leave it cold is warm as toast and this is my man cave. My office, computer, gym, big tv room with wide screen/surround, bathroom, shower, fridge, wood source out of the gar door are all down here.

What's up with the damper? Are you burning too fast?

I had a friend of mine that is in the business install the whole thing up including an accessory humidifier. If your humidifier is right above the furnace into the ducts it seems like it would be difficult to get it to take the warmed air from the wood stove and humidify it if it is not in its direct path? Wish I could help.

Humidifier was not very expensive tho. It is a "Carrier" company unit.

Default Recutrite's stack!

Your Humidifier is above the Furnace, in the Cold Air Return Duct. The moisture is sucked down from the Humidifier, into the Fan Chamber of the Furnace, then into a Chamber between the Fan Chamber, and the Heating Chamber of the Furnace. Then the Moistened Air is blown through the Hot Air Duct, and then goes throughout the house from there.
You also can get a Humidifier, the same size as a Dehumidifier, and put that anywhere in your House. I hope this helps you. Bruce.

If you are talking to me....my humidifier does not send humidified air thru the fan chamber. It sits on the side of what I believe is called a plenum (no spell check so I may be right) and (after) the cold air is taken from the fan chamber and before it is sent up to above the stove in the plenum box (heated air box) it is humidified and then it is forced into the duct work.

Glad humidified air is not sent thru the fan box....that would decrease life span of the fan IMO.
