I think we've exposed it several dozen times in the last 50 some odd pages. It's always nice to see new folks getting the hook though ![]() |

Thanks for starting this thread ekka. Beautiful days down here - Im probably goiong sailing today. I've been up all night researching, to try and stop the structural engineers from cutting down my Avocado. Seems like tree root pruning is pretty easy to do but not very good for the tree. |

Thank You Ekka, It is going about as fast as I want it to. I don`t do a whole lot anymore except cut firewood or an ocassional troublesome tree for someone and play with my grandson. I am not anywhere near the level of most of the Tree World members. Have worked in sawmills, cut pulpwood, and worked in and around wood most of my life, but I am only certified with the school of hard knocks. That is about all I have to say. Have a good day, Knothead56 |

Just got back from quick travel through San Francisco and Canada, had a great time. Feels weird going from autumn/fall to spring then back to autumn/fall in the period of a month. ![]() ![]() ![]() Time to get back to work and lose some weight after putting on about 8 kilo's drinking and eating north american style. ![]() |

Another thing I observed, was a scene from the Simpson's that played out in my life with my grandson Gabriel...he just started to say granddad and it nearly went unoticed because his sister had the lime light. Poor little bloke is feeling dejected at the moment but hey if you come from a big family which I do you know how he feels. I can still remember when my little brother came along. All the best Trev, look after them.

Hi everyone! Just got out of the hospital with heart attack and etc and tons of awful tests. Good news is I am on correct heart meds. Oxygen to my brain does me in for being dumb!! It's all good. I am very encouraged and looking forward to a few more quality years. I missed all of you folks. You have been the best site I have found. Good to be back. Best to all of you. Cheers! Raven |

we are having a bad storm here at the mo, we had a few callout, one car had a large branch landed on it and a another one were a large willow tree landed across some driveway. the funny part about it all was that every time my lovely wife just make me a nice hot cut of tea the bloody phone will ring for the callout and now she not making any more cut of tea for me ![]() |

Ekka, It's going fine. Thanks for the welcome. Just a few too many trees in the rear yard. I hate to cut trees down but these tall pines are a little too close for comfort in hurricane country. Hurricane Gustav left me with about 6 downed trees and another 6 leaners that I had to take down. Drink of choice? Beer is my number one, especially after working up a good sweat. I do like wine occassionally. I've even made a couple of batches of wine from fruit trees(crab apple, pear) growing on my land. Other stuff: I'm helping my son build a dredge for cleaning out his boat slip, and we recently set out a catfish trot line. My son picked up 5 catfish both today and yesterday. Have a good one. Don |
