Get your pen & paper, your climbing gear and come up to Cairns from June 20.-21. 2008 . We'll have a series of workshops on Friday 20.June 2008 and the tree climbing comp will be on Sat. 21.June 2008. Never been to Cairns before ? Take the challenge,- it will be awesome. Besides the climbing it is all about having fun, people and trees. Great plan ! In the evening we have a great barbie with some entertainment. Photos will be on the web soon from the first competition in Cairns in Nov. 2007. cheers Goetz ![]()

| Here it is a bit busy at the moment. Most of you know me already but for those who don't here is the short version story. I am a farm slave that broke down and was not able to do my job anymore so I was climbing the walls here and needed some brain gymnastic's. About 4 years ago I started fiddling with some saws I had for firewood. Once they were done I looked for more as this was something I could do. I found some old bears and got in to these in a serius way. The collection today is about 500 saws, 350 more for parts and trade saws. I started up Dolmar dealership this 1 January after some years fighting with insurance legal and disabuilety stuff. This is now going and I am currently starting canpain to get some good solid coustemers. I have limetid capasety that i tend to exeed all the time wish reasoults in more then needed bedtime. That is were the computer dop it's work. Keeps me busy and safe. The collectors forum is the joy of my life were I get to have company of simular guy's. I will check in here soon again and give yoyu a bit more on this. |

You are right-- I have been remiss in posting. had some heart surgery Dec'07-- this in combination with a hip replacement March'07 has pretty much nudged me away from the climbing end of of the biz for the last several months. Am currently exploring alternate ways to stay connected to the industry while de-emphasising the 'climber' thing which has been the bread and butter for the last 30yrs. Am contemplating actually obtaining a TCIA certification in order to promote myself to my client base as a (piad) tree consultant and (or) trying to hook-up with a large established tree company in a sales/safety/supervisory position. Other than that I pretty much spend time making Sidekicks for Bailey's and Wesspur as well asa working on an idea of mine to repel deer from cultured landscapes and residential gardens. Gotta go now-- will try not to be a stranger. Thanks for thinking of me and keep those kangaroos down under in line. Tim

| well i better respond since my "name" is up there. I live near old dude and tried to send some work his way once but he said he was too old. Depressing part is, I'm younger than he! Hope the ticker gets goin for ya. Always figured the lottery was a tax on dumb people, but if they win that theory might have to go. ![]() Kid is 18 and works with me when not in class. Nephew is 19 and more like arbo material. Stepsons 16 and 14 and decent company. It's my Year of Writing Dangerously--in 5 different natl pubs this month. not done yet. Going to treevet's state OH tomorrow to spread some heresy; hope he gets off the can long enough to make the trip. OK now back to managing Decay and Risk ppt. http://www.ohiochapterisa.org/conferenceGrid.pdf I visit 3 sites in the usa but this one has got em knocked.

| Yes, why not? Lottery's supply well meaning charities with a valuable source of income. They also allow people with very little money to spend it on something meaningless as it gives them an enourmous sense of well being, dontya think? |
