Hi Tree World...I havent been on here for a while, busy with the horses, showing and breeding season etc.

Our tree crew is due here again next week for 3 pine removals, and heaps of dead wooding on the driveway avenue of elms and some old oaks... they do such a great job for us

I told Richard ( arborist) about this site, he was pretty curious, only trouble is ...no computer...and not likely to be be the sounds of it .. he doesnt know what he is missing does he!!

Anyway...off to catch up on some posts...

LOLOLOL that scared the crap out of me. Personalized... for everyone

I climbed a tree at home yesterday... and then cut most of it down.
I'll do the rest once I've finished this ridiculous assignment.

Angus, have you entered the pic comp, you and GM should have some rippers.

I read that Victoria's mountain ash forests are the worlds largest and most condensed carbon capture forests. Sitting on a green gold mine down there, no doubt the size is what makes for lots of O2 and C storage.

Oh Cheers

I've been thinking about it quite a bit, like, what picture to enter.
The problem is finding a picture that really makes you go 'wow', and i don't mean in size, but colour, composure and content.

The entries so far have been to such a high standard!

Hey LeifR, what's your favourite drink, whether alcoholic or not. Mine is definitely beer.

Yeah, they can get those grabs for the crane booms now and just climb/cut ... really top class stuff.
Since this thread has got my name, I should perhaps post a little message. In an early post Ekka asks me about my favorite drink. I haven't seen this post before (this threat is really huge), sorry I have not answered.
My favorite drink is self made applejuice. At my school we have got an old german applepress, and we are making juice in buckets and pails.
My German friend Jochen bought this about one hundred year old equipment for us on German Ebay. I have painted and renovated it.

On this picture you'll see two barrels in the foreground with more than 100 litres of juice.

Leif.

Next to beer it's one of my favourite juices too! Especially the alcoholic cider ones.

Just hold your glass under, Ekka! Well, it isn't cider yet, so don't worry about headaces.

We are also experimenting with other berries, for instance Aronia. Also known as black sour berries. They don't taste well, but are supposed to be extremely healthy. Medicine shall taste badly, or...? We use some trics to make it drinkable. My daughter is picking them in a park, she uses a berrypicker specially made for Aronia. Are berrypickers in use in other corners of the world?

This is not a crime story with blood splashing around. Aronia pressing!

I take a shot every morning. Leif.

Here in Tennessee we make sour mash, and we keep our corn ina jar under the kitchen sink -- where the reveneurs probably won't find it.

Tastes like something from the south end of a northbound mule, butit makes great bugspray in the summer. It will also get all the rust off my chainbar.
