It is going from unbearable 90f and very high humidity (unbearable stay wet all day while working)today to 98f and even higher humidity (beyond words to describe while deadwooding a huge oak over a house) tomorrow. Fondly reminiscing of wearing ski bibs and a t shirt, a pair of gloves, a knit cap and climbing all day in 30f degree day. Not fondly remembering the 2 month work slow down that comes with it.

Never could figure out your weather, freezing to HOT.

That's why I love it here, [Sydney] today mid winter 18C, tonight 8C, it's a good a week sometimes 15C-0C. Summer 30-40C, can get humid if we get a lot of rain, early/mid summer.

I was in Sydney on R and R from VNam in l969 for a week and it was f 'n freezin! Probably an aberration. Got hammered and laid and had a great time every day so no complaints.

Didn't need to pay for it back then, they pretty much chased me down the road for it. Likely a different story if the need arose these days. You blokes () seem awful familiar with these pay and lay joints.

got an f ing speeding ticket yesterday and with the stump grinder on the back and through an industrial area with no cars around and absolutely no one walking around anywhere. 40 in a 25. Man what a threat to society. Pointed out to the cop that if he and his slacker partner left their radar site and went around the block, they could apprehend half a dozen creeps selling drugs to people on the street and cars driving by in mid day not caring a bit who saw them.

It will cost hundreds in annual insurance cost in the end. He responded "I understand and I am sure you are right. Here's your ticked and have a nice day".

Thumbs up Re: bill24 how's it going?

Discretion........a wonderful thing, they havn't used it on this occasion.

In Vic...Australia if you have a good driving record you can write a 'plea' letter stressing the matters you raised.

On the ticket is usually a heap of waffle about what you can do once it is issued to you.........the O/C Prosecutions or similiar may be named on yr. ticket..........send him the plea letter if able.

You could tell him what a good bloke you are, how safety conscious, the excellent brakes on the outfit (tow veh. & trailer?), your age, years held lic., how long since a speeding ticket, traffic density in the street, no children, schools, residences nearby, road dry, clear visibility, width of road surface, etc etc.

On the other hand, if your speeding record is a bit 'colourful' then your up that well known creek without a paddle.

Good luck mate!

here you are in the proverbial creek, unable to swim, with no life preserver. You may represent yourself in court, but it will cost you an entire day lost of work, they frown on you playing the lawyer and they could care less in regards to extenuating circumstances.

Sounds like a great system tho, and thanks for the good wishes.

Well 40 in a 25 zone is a bit excessive,15 miles an hour over and you can kill someone at 15 miles per hour.
