There ain't a cloud in the sky and the trees here are getting green real fast, that means I''l have plenty of work when all the bosses see all the limbs hanging over their electric lines. We had a storm that lasted only a few minutes yesterday but it took out about 20-25 trees and the electric line along one road in my area. I got about seven hours of over time pay for it, so I guess the wife will want the money for our vacation and she'll want to go to Flordia again. That dang Disney mouse gets all my money.

Florida!

That place is expensive they say.

Me, I'm happy to just go anywhere where there's NO BLOODY PHONES!

Yep. Every time the wife wants to go to Flordia it costs me lots and lots of money. I looked at what Quantas charges and I bet I can fly all the way from Nashville to Sidney and stay for a couple of weeks for less than what a long weekend at Disneyworld costs. I'm getting worried because there will be some grand kids coming along soon, so she'll want totake them there too.

The good thing is that the electric cooperative I work for has an agreement with other cooperatives and we help each other out, so if theres a hurricane in Flordia this year I'll maybe get to go for free. I like helping people who have to get tree limbs off their roofs and power lines and those hurricanes can sure put a bunch up there in a hurry.

Smile Re: Jenjoe how's it going?

Hi all Im new to this so will take a while to get it together. Im in Melbourne and were still waiting for some meaningful rain. Had heaps of wind a couple of weeks ago 100kms per hour. Saw a Liquid amber destroyed about 30feet of it lucky for the owners it landed on their car and not their house.

Am studying a degrees in Hort at Burnley partime am in my 3rd year with only 3 more to go (lol). Am doing Arb at the minute so am finding that really interesting.
Thanks for your help today Eric Ive been reading the articles which is why I didnt realise there was a thead to reply to sorry about that.
I have a better idea about a tree report now.

Does anyone want to have a guess of the age of a Eucalypyus cladocalyx that has a diametre at brest height of 4.9 metres Im guessing at least 100 years old anybody else have any ideas.

better go and got the 11yr old to bed look forward to hearing back.

Cheers Jenny

Jenny, if you can load pics up that'd be great, start your own thread for it.

4.9m DBH for a 100 year old tree ... man, must be on steroids!

Seems things are slow here for me. don't know exactly why. In the US, April 15th is the income tax deadline. the people that get a refund for overpayment usually file earlier, but those that have to pay--seems to be those with more income--those that can more afford treework may be forking over a chunk to the federal government. Hope that this will pass.

Since we are freeing, or is it liberating, or... Iraqis, our country's economy, except for George Bush Jr. family and friends in the defense and oil businesses, has gone downhill. Hopefully things will pick back up with spring weather.

Enough to stay reasonably busy day to day, but it would be great to have work booked a week out, maybe two, if that's not asking too much.

Just got a stump grinder and F600 with a mancab and 12yard dump box. Excited about that. Now give me something to use it with.

Hope business is safe and productive for most out there.

Hi Eric,
I'm from Oregon, USA. Just into tree climbing one year and love it. I can post a pix of the Octopus Tree in Cape Meares, a really unusual Sitka spruce, but would you tell me how to do it?

No I'm not, too much $$$$$$'s for me, but I tried to hit the boss up for it and got told to "get a grip".
