Thumbs up

That show is on our local TV station. The main presenter lives on the Island in a light-house. On the odd occasion, they will test drive cars on our mountain section of the TT course (no speed limit), the bike races I told you about Ekka. The road workers are titty-vating the roads now, ready for June. 100 years old this year so there will be lots of biker chicks wearing very little in the hot sun.
Pictures to follow...........of the bikes that is.........

My groundy today said he watched a show on TV last night where a new train in Spain or France was clocked doing 477kmh!

I'd love to take that car for a spin, imagine the power, 1000hp and 10 radiators to keep it cool, from Darwin to Alice Springs there stretches of road with no limit ... they had a cannonball run a few years back but it's been cancelled due to deaths. A car rolled it in a bend doing excessive speed. I think a copper was involved, he was parked at the bend and they cleaned him up or something like that.

The amount of deaths that have occurred over here during TT, both racers and (spectators trying to be Barry Sheen), is quite alot. But they still hold it every year. The Bookies won't take bets as to how many will die that year. It's almost calculable with the number of Spekkies. I used to be quite the nutter on what they call 'Mad Sunday'. It's where the course is open to all to circulate and the mountain road is only open '1 WAY', you can imagine with no speed limit there.
Except, I used to do it in a sooped up Volvo. "****ing Volvo drivers"

If you like bikes, then you'll love the TT

A farmer purchased an old, run-down, abandoned farm with plans to turn it into a thriving enterprise. The fields
were grown over with weeds, the farmhouse was falling apart, and the fences were broken down. During his first
day of work, the town preacher stops by to bless the man's work, saying, "May you and God work together to make
this the farm of your dreams!" A few months later, the preacher stops by again to call on the farmer. Lo and behold,
it's a completely different place. The farm house is completely rebuilt and in excellent condition, there is plenty
of cattle and other livestock happily munching on feed in well-fenced pens, and the fields are filled with crops planted
in neat rows. "Amazing!" the preacher says. "Look what God and you have accomplished together!"
"Yes, reverend," says the farmer, "but remember what the farm was like when God was working it alone!"

Sort of like when you have been looking after trees for a while and some-one comments on how beautiful those trees are and what a lovely job nature does.

What a tossa!

Looked slow too, that's why no speed ratings or acceleration figures.

What you reckon, looked like a 1/4 mile contender above 20sec mark!

Apparently, the rider is a racer and could only pull away in 3rd. Loads of torque. This article was covered in a magazine we got here, called Nuts. He said he couldn't handle the take off. He was racing something pretty quick. I'll have to get the full details on it.

The bike V's a damn quick Audi. on a race track. Running only with 20 instead of the 24 engines. I think Stihl should get onto this one
