However today i signed up with a Football (Gridiron) seniors team today, now this should be interesting, i used to play Club Rugby back in the day(7 years ago).its a SMALL league in our country, these guys are ok in our comp. we play in another town's (Auk) League, and have been back to back Champs, some guys in our Club play for NZ (UN19 guys) training was today, 3Hrs. prity easy really, it was as expected: laps for warm up ( only 1 ),then comes fitness drills I handled myself well then Various Stretches for 20 min, break to position drills, so they put me in Offensive linebacker/ running back Prity stoked bout this! just gotta adjust from playin number 8 all those years ago, and Figure out all the Plays. The Coach came up and talked to me afta and said Welcome aboard we can definably use ya, and teach ya some. im prity stoked as ya all can tell , should be a Blast even if i spend most of this season on the bench...LOL steve Ps this is there Web page The Official Website of the Hamilton Hawks Sports Club

In highschool I played indoor hockey. Same kinda setup as icehockey but with rubber sticks and rubber puck and on a basketball court. I was the best goalie in the school, at the interschool sports out of 5 games only let 1 through and thats coz it was too high to deflect (no shin guards). Apart from that soccer was my game in later h/s during breaks.

Not hard to stop when you are only running. My problem early on was 95% of the time when I was passing it out from goal area I would get the puck stomach height, lotsa ppl copped it guud in the stomach. Then I managed to keep it to the ground and could almost score from my goals.

When I was in my late teens, early 20's, I played a lot of soft ball, two to four times a week, in a league during evenings, golf two to four times a week, after work, before I played ball, and on weekends between games during a tournament. I also played ice hockey, three nights a week. Also did a lot of hunting as well.

MARK!!! +1 for diving! I used to work in a dive shop, lots of Cali-coast and channel island dives (250+) down to max 242 fsw but that was just normal air. Really wanna get into trimix's since it doesnt make sense to dive that deep on normal air anymore. Did a dozen wrecks out here or so but I wanna do ATLANTIC WRECKS!! Nice picture btw!! If you haven't read it, find the book "Shadow Divers". It's about the discovery and dives on the U-869. Richie Kohler actually emailed me back, he's got a great site up about the wreck. The Men of U869 What have you dove? |
