Default TPG Internet

Has anyone got an experience with this ISP? Last time I really looked at them was when 128k connection was the bomb. Mainly looking at connection quality, stability, etc. Customer service would be good but not too important.

I'm with them.... ADSL2 paying around $40/month (150gig plan I think)

A few years back they sucked, but have lifted their game well.

Sweet, my current ISP has been disappointing me lately. Will probably go the 500gb/unlimited plan. I don't know how but I've managed to use ~25gb of my 60gb monthly limit in a week.

It's all the HD stuff these days, everyone is looking at large detailed graphics and videos.

Some videos I load up to Youtube are around 100mb/mimute!

Back in the old days they were WMV's around 5mb a minute. So as the net got faster our "consumption" of bandwidth did exceed supply, hence the broadband network requirement. These days at 5mbps download speed my connection is considered 3/5 .... and to think 5 years ago 1024kbps was good enough.

You can ring TPG, you can email them, they are available compared to some of the others, and they are relatively cheap depending on where you live. I cannot get naked broadband etc, just ADSL2. I am perhaps 5kms from the exchange the way the wires work so at the exchange I am supposed to get 20mbps but the ole copper wires and pits do slow things down. When it rains I go slower.

Im with TPG as well and find it pretty good.
I do have a few issues from about 11am to 2pm during the day where it drops out a bit but i haven't bothered to ring and ask about it. So not a major issue.
Other than that i've found the speed pretty good and they were well priced compared to others.
I have the unlimited plan which was bundled with a home phone line because i didnt have one.

Overall im happy with them.
