These were $299 matterhorns. Insulated, with polymer toe box. Looking a tad bit tired at the moment. (I put a soda can next to one for size comparison..I've a big foot) Lasted about 2 years. Great fitting boots! ![]() Last edited by Therrin; 12th October 2009 at 07:40 PM. |

My RedBacks have lasted me about 4-5 years, but have only really been put to the test in the last year. Somehow I took a fair chunk out of hte sole and I cant figure out how, but now the water gets through so its new boot time.

| lol, low enough. those 8 or 6" uppers? I'll have to edit my post and show "before" pics... they used to be nice boots =( I used to wear them with my uniform when doing security work. BEFORE Pic ![]() They're thrashed now though. (I just noticed that's not the exact boot. mine had the cutout in the tread that the gaff's shank fit into better than the ones in the pic) |

8" i think, i had another pair from the same company that were 10" and totaly waterproof........ turns out lots of returns for coming apart around the plastic ankle support, were leather and plastic meet...... loong story short, got these ones and cash back, so no possible hassle...

Trev, I've put a couple here and there, but I could try a little harder to help you let your missus "catch" you lookin at girls while ON treeworld heh! Where he said that on that video, was absolutely hillarious. I played it over several times and couldnt stop laughing. Having skype'd alot with Ekka, you can tell that he showed considerable restraint in that video; mostly replaced with "dude!" |

| no ![]() and neither were my carolinas ![]() good job keeping me accountable steve. by the time your done with me i'll pass every safety requirement from florida to new zealand. I would like to buy a nice pair of boots that meet my local regs, but man, all i can afford right now would be crap. p.s. those boots were given to me as a present from an awesome climber and friend. They have tremendously helped all the pain i was having in the sole of my foot. actually the pain is completely gone now that i think about it. |
