I dunno, for a bloke like me who never sees snow it's interesting.

But it would have to peeve you off shovelling the driveway and rusting your car out.

Ekka, when thinking about the snow here ya just have to keep your "glass of ice half full not half empty" As in:

" It snowed two feet last night and I have to shovel the damm driveway again!!!But At least there will be no misquetos biting this morning."

"dammit the well water lines froze up again,;ah well its to cold to take a shower any ways."

"with all this bad weather jobs have been few and far betwean,;I think ill take the dog out hunting again."

That's mainly on the east coast.

Actually, I bought a Chevrolet pickup new in 1988, and put 235,000 miles on it in 12 years, and it never had any rust; and I didn't even have extra under-coating applied.

It's the salt on the roads back east that rusts the vehicles. In Oregon, the salt spray from the ocean causes a little bit more rust for the locals there, but its not very noticeable driving through those towns.

I was thinking about you today when the snow flakes started coming down again this morning (from what you replied about snow in the other topic).

As flakes fell, I had this mental image of you standing out there and the flakes hissing on your skin, the same way that eggs sizzle in a frying pan

Funny how salt melts snow.

Remember that movie Cool Runnings, that was funny.

Cool Runnin's, excellent film, Stickin the Rasta in the cooler. Dead funny. Living on an Island, we don't get snow for long. As soon as it hits (1" if we're lucky) it melts. On the hills gets it pretty bad though. Not much fun for the sheep. And then the police close the road when it does, because they keep crashing. Have they never heard of 'MatTracks'..........

They're both funny but hell man I pissed myself laughing at the Brisbane one....

March 1, first day of autumn apparently, summers gone, 34C today and still sweating my arse of, and that's when I'm sitting inside drinking a beer watching those tree guys with their chainsaws cutting down all the dead palms coz it hasn't rained for 6 months, the soils fried, cats dead, council fined me for filling the pool and the airconditioner repair man is a filthy liar coz the electricity bill was $900!

I'm moving from Hades to somewhere where it snows in winter.
